Less than three months after being eliminated by the Miami Heat in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals, Rajon Rondo believes the Boston Celtics have made improvements to beat the defending NBA champions.
I think because we have a talented group of guys... the additions of Courtney Lee, Jason Terry, and Jeff Green. We have high expectations every year... I think we got a lot better than last year, Rondo said at a Red Bull event in Hong Kong, according to The Standard.
The Celtics underwent an overhaul of their roster this summer, signing newcomers Lee, Terry, and Jason Collins, rookies Jared Sullinger, Fab Melo, Kris Joseph, Dionte Christmas, and Jamar Smith, and re-signing Green, Kevin Garnett, Brandon Bass, Keyon Dooling, and Chris Wilcox.
Rondo has been touring Asia as part of the Red Bull Basketball Clinics, and was also asked about going up against Asian-American basketball star Jeremy Lin and the Rockets. He expects to beat him pretty badly he reportedly said.
