Bradley (shoulder) questionable to play vs. Bulls

BOSTON -- Avery Bradley’s right shoulder is improving, but it’s still unclear if he will play tonight.

Bradley told CSNNE.com following the team’s pregame walkthrough that his right shoulder is still sore but “definitely feels better than it did yesterday.”

His teammates as well as head coach Brad Stevens said the 6-foot-2 guard has been dealing with shoulder soreness throughout training camp.

It became more sore than usual earlier this week which kept him out of the team’s practice on Tuesday. But so far today, Bradley is doing a lot of things he would normally do in preparation to play.

He has spent time with multiple assistants watching video clips, but it’s unclear if he participated fully in Boston’s walkthrough.

Even if he did, that still wouldn’t give you a sense as to whether he’ll play tonight or not because most of what the Celtics do during the walk-through is just that, walked through.

Having Bradley available would help dull the loss of Al Horford who is out for the next two games after getting hit in the head in practice on Monday and recently being put in the NBA’s concussion protocol program. It is unclear when he’ll return to action for the Celtics.

As for Bradley, having him available would be a huge plus for the Celtics considering the way he has started this season.

In addition to averaging 21.3 points per game which is second on the roster, Bradley is also leading the team in rebounds (8.7) and is second in assists (4.7).
