Theo Epstein took out a full-page ad in the Boston Globe Sunday, thanking "Red Sox Nation" for "10 incredible years".
The outgoing Red Sox general manager thanked the fans, the team's ownership group, his front-office colleagues, the players, the coaches and Terry Francona, and also lauded the millions of dollars in support that was given to his charitable foundation (the Foundation To Be Named Later).
"It's been a privilege to be part of the Red Sox for the last decade and an honor to work alongside some of the most talented and dedicated people in baseball. I'm proud of all we accomplished together," wrote Epstein, who concluded: "Go Sox".
