The illness that took Adrian Gonzalez out of the series finale against the Yankees will keep him out on Friday against the Rays.
Gonzalez was scratched from the lineup shortly before gametime.
In the first inning, Gonzalez's replacement, Mauro Gomez, dropped a throw from Will Middlebrooks.
