During spring training, Larry Lucchino confirmed he was working on an extension of his contract as Red Sox president. But as the months passed and no announcement was made, questions arose about Lucchino's status.
But owner John Henry put the speculation to rest Thursday when, during an appearance on WEEI Radio, he said that Lucchino had signed his extension and would be back with the Sox in 2013.
He did not specify, however, if the extension ran past the '13 season.
