Prior to the news that Terry Francona and the Boston Red Sox have agreed to part ways, Lou Merloni wondered why Francona would even want to come back.
"He talked about in Thursday's press conference how difficult the 2011 team was to manage," said the ex-Red Sox infielder on 'Mohegan Sun Sports Tonight' Thursday.
"I'm not sure he wants to come back. He's been here a long time (eight seasons, from 2004-11)."
