BOSTON - Thursday’s rainout changed the Red Sox rotation for the upcoming four-game series with the Tigers, and set up a must-see pairing of pitchers on Monday in Detroit: Chris Sale vs. Justin Verlander.

Here’s how it shakes out the next five days:

Friday: Steven Wright remains in his previously scheduled spot, in the series opener against the Tigers. (Pitching for the Tigers: RHP Michael Fulmer.)

Saturday: Eduardo Rodriguez, who was supposed to pitch Thursday at Fenway Park, instead takes the second game of the series. (Pitching for the Tigers: RHP Jordan Zimmermann.)

Sunday: Rick Porcello pitches a day later than he was previously scheduled to. He’ll have five days of rest rather than four. (Pitching for the Tigers: LHP Daniel Norris.)

Monday: Sale makes his second start of the season. He’ll be on regular four days’ rest. (Pitching for the Tigers: Verlander.)

Tuesday: Drew Pomeranz, who was previously in line to make his season debut Sunday, has more time to rest as he comes back from a flexor strain. He opens a three-game series with the Orioles at home.
