BOSTONThe Red Sox already had a five-run lead when Dan Wheeler entered for the Indians in the seventh inning. But that didnt stop them for pounding the former Sox pitcher for six runs in the inning.

The Sox beat the Indians 12-1 taking three of the four games in the series, and giving them a three-game win streak, their longest since winning six in a row from April 23 -28.

Jarrod Saltalamacchia delivered the big blow with a two-run homer. He went 3-for-4 with a season-high five RBI, just two behind his career-high. It was his fifth home run of the season.

Daniel Nava went 2-for-2 with three runs scored and three RBI. He was also hit by two pitches from Justin Masterson.

Daniel Bard earned the win, improving to 3-4 with a 4.30 ERA. He went six innings, giving up one run on six hits and four walks with two strikeouts.

Bards outing, along with Clay Buchholz on Friday and and Felix Doubront on Saturday, gives the Sox a streak of three straight quality starts for the first time this season.

Masterson, the former Sox pitcher, took the loss, falling to 1-3 with a 5.40 ERA. He went six innings, giving up six runs on seven hits and a walk with four strikeouts, a home run, three hit batters and a wild pitch.
