The Red Sox announced Tuesday that they have placed third baseman Pablo Sandoval on the 10-day disabled list with a left inner ear infection.
They’ve also recalled Deven Marrero and Sam Travis from Triple-A Pawtucket and optioned Austin Maddox to Pawtucket.
Sandoval, who is in the third year of a five-year, $95 million deal, is batting .212/.269/.354 with four homers and 12 RBI in 32 games this season.
