The are a lot of questions the Red Sox will answer at the start of the 2016 season, and it’s why Ken Rosenthal says the Red Sox will be the most interesting team to watch in April.
“I would say this is the most interesting team to watch in April, along with maybe the Diamondbacks,” Rosenthal said. “We all know they need to [start] off well, because of the situations with [John] Farrell, and Torey Lovullo sitting right there.”
Early on the injuries to Eduardo Rodriguez and Carson Smith could impact the team’s performance. And the play of Pablo Sandoval and Hanley Ramirez remain up in the air.
“They have a lot going for them, as we know. These young players are for real; no one questions that. I just wonder if this is a team,” Rosenthal said. “And if this is a team that’s going to succeed early on. It might be a team that, like last year, kind of gets better as it goes on. Well, that’s not the situation they’re in. They can’t necessarily afford to start slowly and then charge late.”
