Weiland to start for Red Sox on Sunday

BOSTON -- Alfredo Aceves' appearance in Thursday night's Red Sox victory over the Orioles raised questions as to whether the veteran swingman would be able to start in place of the injured Jon Lester on Sunday.

On Friday afternoon, we got the answer: No, he won't.

Instead, the Sox will recall highly regarded right-hander Kyle Weiland from Pawtucket to make the start. Weiland is 8-6 with a 3.00 ERA for the PawSox, but is 6-2 with a 2.33 ERA in his last 10 starts.
