Bruins vs. Canucks: 5 thoughts from the 3rd

Share

Here are five thoughts from the third period with the Bruins falling to the Canucks by a 4-3 score at TD Garden.

1) You give the Canucks upwards of a dozen power plays and you're going to lose.

2) Cory Schneider looked pretty inspired in front of his friends and family, didn't he?

3) This game could have some pretty long-lasting ramifications if either Lucic or Marchand get whacked with long suspensions. Both are considered repeat offenders and won't be given benefit of the doubt from Brendan Shanahan.

4) Nasty, filthy goal from Cody Hodgson for the game-winner. He had a great game also assisting on the Mason Raymond goal in front of the net.

5) Nothing changes in this writer's mind about Vancouver after watching another 60 minute display of their brand of courage. The 6-on-1 attack on Thornton will go down in the book of cowardice.
