Bruins' Anders Bjork to miss 5 to 6 months after left shoulder surgery

Anders Bjork's tough-luck season already has come to an end.

The Boston Bruins winger underwent left shoulder surgery and is expected to miss five to six months, the team announced Friday.

Boston sent Bjork down to Providence in late November, but he hadn't played for the Bruins' AHL club since Dec. 30 due to a shoulder injury.

The 22-year-old tallied just three points (one goal, two assists) in 20 games for the B's this season after appearing in 30 games during his rookie campaign last season.
