Caron to play in Paille's absence

Jordan Caron will be in the lineup Saturday, skating with Gregory Campbell and Shawn Thornton, as Daniel Paille stays in Boston after suffering a "mild concussion."

He should be rust-free after stepping in for Tyler Seguin against the Winnipeg Jets earlier this week. The 21-year-old winger had a shot on goal in 10:34 of ice time in the 2-1 loss to the Jets in Winnipeg, and said that hes ready to jump into the lineup after serving as the extra forward for much of the last month.

Caron used his large 6-foot-3, 205-pound frame to great advantage when he took some reps on the fourth line during Pailles last injury, so it shouldnt take long for him to get into the crash-and-bang mode featured by his fellow forwards. The real effect on the Bruins could be Pailles absence on the penalty kill unit, which maximizes his combination of speed and tenacitybut Caron has some previous experience killing penalties with his different set of skills.

Thornton and Campbell are players that work really hard and thats really my style. I like to keep things simple and going to the net, said Caron. We played together just before I was scratched, so things went well with us.

Ive played with every guy on the team, so its just a matter of adjusting my game. It doesnt matter who Im playing with. Its always fun to get back into the lineup and play my game.

The penalty kill is fourth in the NHL while killing off man advantages at an 87 percent success rate, and Caron and Co. will have to work to keep it there with Paille down and out of the lineup.
