Celtics fans keep recruiting Anthony Davis

Anthony Davis doesn't don the Green and White, at least not yet, but that doesn't stop the Pelicans star from being a fan favorite in Boston.

Davis received a nice ovation at TD Garden before the Celtics took on the Pelicans on Monday night, and talked about it after the game.

"I heard it tonight," Davis said. "But I’m just focused on this team. I’m trying to do whatever I can to help this team get wins with the roster we have. It’s been a rocky season so it’s on me to try to figure it out. I know the team follows me. I’m the leader and I’ve got to be the one to make sure that we’re ready to play every night. So for me I just go out there and play with this team and go out there and try to have fun and get wins. That’s all I’m worried about is getting wins for this team and hopefully we can get further than we did last year.”

A subject of trade talks for quite a while now, Boston has been rumored as one of the more likely landing spots for Davis. Chris Mannix said on Arbella Early Edition the C's have a better shot than any other NBA team to land the big man.
