For the final preseason tune-up, Boston Celtics’ rookie Jayson Tatum will once again be in the starting lineup.
The 19-year-old forward has been in the starting lineup in each of the Celtics’ last three preseason games.
“He’s done a good job of learning quickly,” said Celtics head coach Brad Stevens. “Everyday he provides us great film to coach from, and talk about. Mostly really positive stuff. He’s done well for a 19-year-old.”
Tatum comes into tonight’s game averaging a team-high 24.7 minutes in the preseason, averaging 8.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.0 steals. He also ranks among the team leaders in offensive rating (106.0, 5th) and Pace (107.68, 5th).
Tatum is with a starting five that includes the Big Three of Kyrie Irving, Gordon Hayward and Al Horford along with Jaylen Brown.
