Crosby: Krejci hit ‘probably' led to concussion symptoms

It appears that Sidney Crosby is again out for the Pittsburgh Penguins with concussion symptoms, and the Pens superstar is tracing his problems back to last weeks home loss to the Bruins.

Crosby was clocked in the head with an inadvertent David Krejci elbow while the two players battled for a puck in the first period of the game at the CONSOL Energy Center, and both players were spotted screaming at each other from their respective benches at the end of the first period.

Crosby went on to finish the rest of the game and also suffered a knee-on-knee hit with Chris Kunitz that shook him up.

On Monday, however, he admitted that hes out indefinitely with concussion symptoms. When asked if the Krejci hit was the one that did the damage, Crosby answered affirmatively while assuring that he felt fine immediately after the impact.

I dont know. I mean . . . I know I got hit in the head there. I felt like I was pretty good after that. It didnt feel like it was anything too major, but if you had to look at one hit that would be it, said Crosby. The collision with Kunitz was knee on knee.

If anything it was probably that Krejci hit. It was a good one.

Crosby sat out games against the Flyers and Islanders with what the team was calling a "precautionary measure." Unfortunately for the NHL's most recognizable player, it appears to be much more than that.

And the fact that the latest trigger for Crosby's concussion symptoms happened against the Bruins will likely further hammer home the B's perceived identity as the pro wrestling heel in the NHL this season.
