FOXBORO -- The Patriots announced on Thursday that recently retired Patriots Matt Light and Kevin Faulk will serve as honorary captains for Sunday's AFC Championship Game with the Ravens.

"Two former Patriots, running back Kevin Faulk and left tackle Matt Light," a statement from the team reads, "who played their entire careers in New England and together helped the Patriots become the most successful team in the NFL for over a decade, will serve as honorary captains for Sunday's AFC Championship Game against Baltimore this Sunday."

Faulk announced his retirement on Oct. 10, 2012 after a 13-year career with the Patriots. Light stepped away before the start of this season after helping the Patriots to 11 consecutive winning seasons.
