One of the better things NHL commissioner Gary Bettman has done for the league (and the list is Napoleonic in size) is keep the sport rooted to its well roots.

For the past three years the NHL has graced its fans with the Winter Classic and the Heritage Classic, outdoor hockey games reminiscent of old pond hockey games. And yesterdays Heritage Classic game had everything hockey fans and males under 60 couldve hoped for:

Goals
Creepy masks

Team Ronald McDonald vs. the Habs

The Canadiens being shutout
And, of course, the ever elusive but much beloved video capture of one friend nutshotting another friend for dancing to Metric on national television.

Where have we seen this before?

Props to the folks who actually watched the intermission show long enough to see that fatal shot live on TV. For some, a nutshot during a Metric performance wouldve been a mercy blow.

Whats the overunder on those two being friend still, we wonder?
