Wes Welker joined Mike Felger, Ty Law, and Troy Brown after the Patriots' 23-16 win over the Jaguars. Welker had another great day for the Patriots, making ten catches for 88 yards and a TD. He continues to make a case for himself as one of the best wide receivers in the NFL.
But does he think of himself that way? Felger asked him.
"Personally, yeah," Welker said. "But at the same time you look back at Jerry Rice and growing up idolizing that guy, and wanting to even be in the same breath as him is definitely an accomplishment in itself, but I still have a lot more to do if I ever want to be compared or in the same bracket as Jerry Rice.
Welker isn't going to toot his own horn too much, so allow Law to do it for him.
"It's alright to gloat a little bit because you deserve it," Law said. "So, I'll say it for you: You're the best in the game, your numbers speak for itself. Get you your money."
