Lloyd: He and Brady still a work in progress

FOXBORO -- Midway through the regular season, Brandon Lloyd has caught 37 passes for 435 yards and three touchdowns.
His reception yardage ranks third on the team, behind Wes Welker (736) and Rob Gronkowski (580), while his three touchdown catches rank second behind Gronkowski's seven.
Two of those touchdowns came in their eighth game of the season -- against the St. Louis Rams.
Lloyd told everyone in training camp that his connection with Tom Brady wasn't going to be perfect right away. And entering Week 10, it's something the two are still working on.
"It's an ongoing process," said Lloyd on Thursday. "I think I said earlier in the springtime that I don't think this year we're going to be at a point where we're like, all right, we've got it made, because we still have so much work to do. And we're working hard to improve on that week-by-week and day-by-day. It's a group effort, and that's what we're moving forward with."
Lloyd was asked about his two touchdown receptions in the Patriots' latest win over the Rams before the bye week, and the wide receiver continued to react as if there was still plenty of work to be done between him and Brady.
"It was two catches," said Lloyd.
But two pretty big catches, no?
"It was two catches, two touchdowns," he said. "And we still have a lot of work to do."
