The golf swings won't be very pretty Monday at TPC Norton, but their aim will be true. That aim?Raisingmoney to help cancer-stricken individuals and their families battle the disease. The Third Annual Joe Andruzzi and Friends Golf Tournamentjust keeps getting bigger and better according to the former Patriots lineman. "This year, we're sold out with golfers," said Andruzzi. "People love what we're about and what we're doing."It's hard not to.As Andruzzi explains, funds raisedby the Joe Andruzzi Foundation help pay for "some of the back-end things people forget about" when it comes to battling the disease. "We'vehelped people pay mortgages, helped them pay rent. We've helped some people, sadly, with funeral costs. Cancer isn't getting any cheaper. There are so many things out there (that turn into major medical expenses). We help pay things people don't realize they may encounter - travel and hotels. about. As a foundation, we're geared to give financial assistance to families that are struggling."Some of the current and ex-Patriots expected to play Monday are Jermaine Cunningham, Tully Banta-Cain, Logan Mankins, DaneFletcher and Rob Ninkovich. Strength coach Harold Nash, and ex-Pats Christian Fauriaand Peter Brock are also in the mix along with several others. Andruzzi's golf tournament is just one of several events his foundation runs each year.
