Brady says it's his ‘dream' to play a game in China

Tom Brady's accomplished a lot in his NFL career, but there's one thing -- more specifically one place -- he wants to check off the list before he hangs 'em up.

During Brady's tour of China as an Under Armour representative, where he's promoting his "recovery sleepwear" line, he explained that he hoped to play a game in China someday.

"My dream is to play a game here someday," he said. "We had an opportunity, I think, 10 years ago and my team was going to play here. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out.

"But one day I hope that there are many games here over the course of the year because it's such a great sport, and because I love it so much. To bring that here, to bring the discipline and the incredible strategy involved. It's just a great event and hopefully a lot of the Chinese people would enjoy it."

The Patriots were scheduled to play the Seahawks in a preseason game in 2007, but the trip was canceled when the NFL decided to shift its focus to regular-season games played in London.

Over the weekend, Brady threw a pass on the Great Wall and brought one of his team's five Lombardi Trophies along for the ride. Brady also visited Shanghai as part of his trip and is scheduled to travel to Tokyo as well.

"I am excited about the opportunity to be able to connect with the people in China and Japan, experience the incredible culture and share my love for the game with my fans," Brady said before the trip. "The tour will be rewarding for me as I experience Shanghai, Beijing and Tokyo. I hope to learn more about the next generation of athletes in Asia and to inspire them to always push boundaries through hard work, dedication, humility and perseverance both on and off the field."
