Butler surprises students at Foxboro High during Snapchat takeover

Malcolm Butler is staying busy before the Patriots begin their offseason program on April 18, and he provided fans a first-hand look at what he was up to on Monday.

Taking over the NFL's Snapchat account for the day, Butler posted short videos of himself working out at a local sports performance center in the morning before eventually making his way to Foxboro High School for a surprise visit.

He spoke to students in the school's cafeteria and then took part in one of their gym classes, where one administrator lightheartedly threatened to test him in the mile run to gauge his conditioning.

Butler did some jogging with the class and later hit the deck for some pushups. "Extra work," Butler called it.

This wasn't the first time this offseason that Butler visited a local school to encourage students. Last month, Butler arrived at West Middle School in Brockton to celebrate the work of a student-run anti-bullying club.

Parts of Butler's Snapchat story -- which includes clips of his trip with linebacker Jamie Collins to Monday's Celtics game -- is still available on the NFL's Snapchat account. You can also watch parts of his visit to Foxboro High on Patriots.com.
