The Patriots announced on Monday that Gillette Stadium will offer free high-speed wireless for its fans starting with the team's home opener against the Cardinals on Sunday.

Patriots apps for the iPhone, iPad and Android will give fans the ability to have an in-stadium experience unlike any they've had before. From their seats, they'll be able to track the rest of the league on NFL Red Zone, share photos on Instagram, and interract with others on Twitter and Facebook.

In-stadium, high-density Wi-Fi providing any guest with a rich internet experience is the next frontier for the NFL and it is something we have been researching for years, Jonathan Kraft said in a statement.

The president of The Kraft Group and the Patriots and co-chair of the NFL Digital Media Committee continued: We believe that well-constructed mobile applicationsaccessible through the Enterasys Wi-Fi networkwill ultimately deliver content available nowhere else, truly differentiating the in-stadium experience from any other. After reviewing all of the available technologies, it became clear to us that Enterasys was the only viable technical solution for providing this service today.

Enterasys Networks was selected by the Krafts to provide "high-density" wireless at Gillette.
