Despite returning to the practice field this week, Patriots defensive lineman Albert Haynesworth is not expected to play in Saturday night's preseason gameagainst the Lions. Haynesworth, who missed the first two preseason games and was a ghost for most of August before materializing this week, could very well enter the regular season without taking a preseason snap for New England. Next Thursday's preseason game against the Giants is often a game in which front-line players are used sparingly. It's not clear whether or not Haynesworth made the trip to Detroit. We'll try to get more as the day progresses.
