Moss calls first workout with 49ers ‘eye-opening'

It was back to the football field for Randy Moss, who signed a one-year deal with the 49ers after a year off due to retirement.

So what did Moss have to say about his first on-field workout with the team?

It was eye-opening, Moss said, according to PFT. Today was the first day and we were moving so fast. Today felt like wed been out here for a week or two.

So could Moss keep up? His teammate, tackle Joe Staley, was impressed by what Moss showed out on the field.

He looked good. He looked really, really good, Staley said. Obviously super fast. My first impressions of him are very positive. I think hes going to be a great addition to the team. Im excited to work with him. I think hes got a ton of talent.

If Moss can win a roster spot with the 49ers and keep it for the entire season, he'll be back in New England on December 16 for a Week 15 Sunday Night Football matchup with the Patriots.

Of course we all remember the last game Moss played in Gillette, as a member of the Minnesota Vikings. He made one catch for eight yards -- and never played another game for the Vikings again, being released shortly after.
