Patriots-Jets inactives: No surprises on list for Pats

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- As expected, Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski are officially active for the Patriots' game today against the Jets. So, too, is Jabaal Sheard, who was a healthy scratch last week against the 49ers.

In fact, the only semi-surprising name on the Patriots' inactive list is cornerback Justin Coleman. The move leaves Malcolm Butler, Logan Ryan, Eric Rowe and Jonathan Jones as the options at corner.

The full list of inactives: Coleman, wide receiver Matthew Slater, cornerback Cyrus Jones, offensive lineman LaAdrian Waddle, running back DJ Foster, tight end Matt Lengel and defensive lineman Woodrow Hamilton.

For the Jets, center Nick Mangold (ankle) is inactive. He practiced for the first time this week on Friday and he went into the game listed as questionable. Wesley Johnson will continue to take on the center responsibilities for a Jets offense that has averaged 5.5 yards per carry over the last three games.
