Tuesday's widespread panic Logan Mankins and Co. were going to hold up a deal isgone. And was, as suspected, way overblown. Principals from both sides of the issue met late Tuesday night to go over the final points of the agreement. We are now down to the "Yea" or "Nay" portion of the program with the members of the players' executive committee meeting in Washington to go over the proposal and vote on it. Thursday in Atlanta, owners will convene to vote on the proposal as well. Twenty-four teams need to vote on the reported 10-year agreement in order for it to be ratified. CSNNE (Giardi and I) will be in Atlanta Wednesday night and all day Thursday to cover what better be the end of the lockout and tell you what's next. Tom E.
