Tampa Bay Buccanneers rookie linebacker Mason Foster was fined 20,000 by the NFL today for his hit on Chad Ochocinco in last Thursday's preseason game.

Foster's agent said he would appeal the fine on Foster's behalf, but even if the league stands firm, Foster's wallet may be no worse for the wear. Of all people, Ochocinco has offered to reimburse Foster for the money he now owes the league.

Ochocinco tweeted at commissioner Roger Goodell Wednesday:

"@nflcommish Dad no disrespect but I don't agree with @mason_foster fine n I'll be reimbursing him personally. Please feel free to contact me"

Foster's elbow and shoulder hit the head and neck of Ochocinco, causing Ochocinco to drop the pass. The Patriots receiver has praised the hit all along as a great hit.
