FOXBORO -- The Patriots had just three players limited at Wednesday's practice -- a sign that they are feeling healthy coming out of their bye week, something coach Bill Belichick indicated was indeed the case recently.
Only three Patriots players showed up on the injury report following Wednesday's shells-and-sweats practice: tight end Martellus Bennett (ankle), receiver Julian Edelman (foot) and defensive tackle Alan Branch (back). Bennett and Edelman have been dealing with their nagging injuries for weeks, whereas Branch's issue is a relatively new one. He was not listed on the injury report prior to New England's Week 8 game against the Bills.
With the time off, the Patriots became markedly healthier, judging by their injury reports. Players no longer listed on the injury report after the bye included linebacker Elandon Roberts, receiver Malcolm Mitchell, defensive linemen Woodrow Hamilton and Vincent Valentine, and corner Jonathan Jones.
The Seahawks, on the other hand, could be in better shape. Limited in their Wednesday practice were quarterback Russell Wilson, safety Kam Chancellor, running back Thomas Rawls, tight end Luke Willson, corner DeAndre Elliott and tackle Bradley Sowell. Defensive ends Cassius Marsh and Michael Bennett did not practice, and Bennett was ruled out for Sunday by Pete Carroll.
Seahawks tight end Jimmy Graham, who has come on strong of late, did not practice on Wednesday, but his absence was not injury related.
