Patriots documentary 'Do Your Job Part 2' debuts Sept. 3

The Patriots' fourth Super Bowl title in 2014 brought with it an NFL Films' documentary titled "Do Your Job", named for the Belichickian mantra that continues to fuel New England's unprecedented run of success.

So, naturally, title No. 5 has spawned "Do Your Job, Part 2," which features interviews with Bill Belichick and other members of the coaching staff and recaps another championship run - that included the greatest comeback in Super Bowl history - the 28-3 deficit the Pats wiped out against the Falcons in February. The hour-long special will premiere on NBC Sunday, Sept. 3 at 7 p.m. Academy-award nominated actor Edward Norton, a Boston native, is the narrator.

The special re-airs on NFL Network on Wednesday, Sept. 6 at 8 p.m., followed by the "America's Game" episode that focuses on the 2016 Pats at 9 and the "NFL's Top 10", which will count down Tom Brady's 10 best games, at 10.

The Patriots open the regular season Thursday, Sept. 7, at Gillette Stadium against the Kansas City Chiefs at 8:30 p.m. on NBC. They'll raise their fifth Super Bowl championship banner in ceremonies before the game.

Tom Brady: Achilles injury 'nothing to worry about'

Tom Brady: Achilles injury 'nothing to worry about'

FOXBORO — Within 30 seconds of his Friday press conference beginning, Tom Brady was talking about biscuits. That should tell you how small a deal he considers the Achilles tendon issue that kept him out of Wednesday’s practice.

Brady practiced for the second consecutive day Friday, after which he confirmed that he will be good to go Sunday against the Dolphins.

MORE PATRIOTS:

“I feel great. Ready to go, so I’ll be excited for Sunday and it feels good to get a little extra treatment,” Brady said. “I’m feeling great this time of year. It will be a fun week. Nothing to worry about.”

After that, Brady spoke about the aforementioned Thanksgiving biscuits of which he posted pictures on Instagram. He said they were good. Rob Gronkowski said he wanted some and that there would be “problems” if Brady didn’t bring any in for him. Everyone got a real kick out of it.

It’s hard to imagine Brady’s status for Sunday actually being up in the air. He has gone 134 consecutive regular-season games without missing time due to injury. His only absence in that span came in the form of last season’s four-game suspension for Deflategate.
