FOXBORO -- Thursday morning the Patriots announced the signing of OL Derek Dennis.
Listed at 6-3, 325-pounds, Dennis is described as a "fluid" lineman who started for Temple at both guard and tackle. Considering how the Patriots have Sebastian Vollmer and Logan Mankins on PUP, and Dan Connolly missed practice Wednesday, the added depth should help the team get through camp at least.
Miami picked up Dennis as a free agent immediately after the 2012 draft. He was waived on the first day of training camp.
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, who has backed down from his threat to sue the NFL over commissioner Roger Goodell's contract extension, is adamant about his fellow owners discussing it at a Dec. 13 meeting, according to Pro Football Talk.
Here's more from Charean Williams of NBCSports.com's Pro Football Talk.
Tom Brady was back at practice Thanksgiving morning despite an Achilles' injury that kept him out of Wednesday session.
TB12 was also playing hurt in the kitchen later Thursday as he posted a photo of him preparing Thanksgiving biscuits for his holiday feast.
Happy Thanksgiving to you all! I wanted to say how much I love and appreciate you all for the support you have given me....Posted by Tom Brady on Thursday, November 23, 2017
Brady's wife, supermodel Gisele Bundchen, also took to social media to post photos of the biscuit master and family jumping for joy to celebrate Turkey Day. Tom's rocking the Uggs of course, but watch that sore Achilles'!
