Report: Isaiah Thomas will be at Patriots playoff game in his Brady jersey

Isaiah Thomas is from Tacoma, Wash., wore his Seahawks sweatshirt at the Celtics' shoot-around in Atlanta on Friday, attended Seattle's walkthrough practice and - back in Boston - will be watching Seattle play the Atlanta Falcons in the NFC playoffs Saturday afternoon.

But then he'll be wearing his Tom Brady jersey.

And he'll head to Gillette Stadium to watch the Patriots AFC playoff game against the Houston Texans. Thomas' bond with Brady was detailed in a Boston Globe story in which the Celtics guard said the two frequently text each other and he received an autographed jersey from Brady this week.

"Isaiah, keep ballin," TB12 wrote on the No. 12 jersey, Thomas told the Globe's Adam Himmelsbach. And he said he'll hang it in his home after he wears it to the game Saturday night.

“When I got the jersey, I texted him that I appreciated it and he said, ‘Any time. Keep playing great and keep being you,’ ” Thomas told the Globe. “I just text him after most of his games because they’re all great games. And this week I hit him and said I’d be at the game and he was like, ‘We need this one.’ ”

Brady joined Thomas and the large Celtics contingent in the Hamptons this past July in the recruiting effort that tried to lure Kevin Durant to Boston before he chose to sign with the Golden State Warriors.

Recalling that meeting at Celtics Media Day this fall, Thomas called Brady "the coolest dude I ever met."

Another Patriots-Seahawks Super Bowl would surely test IT's allegiances.
