Report: Suggs to miss 2012 season with torn achilles

Baltimore Ravens linebacker, and reigning Defensive Player of the Year, Terrell Suggs, will reportedly miss the entire 2012 season after tearing his achilles tendon.

Suggs totaled 70 tackles, 14 sacks and two interceptions during the 2011 season.

An official statement from the Ravens said, "We are in contact with Terrell. He will see a specialist early next week, and well know more at that time.

The news is obviously a huge blow to a Ravens team that was a dropped touchdown catch away from making the Super Bowl.
