Report: Team in talks with Hightower is convinced he’s returning to Patriots

Despite a busy offseason for the New England Patriots, one of their own, Dont'a Hightower, remains a free agent.

But according to Albert Breer of MMQB.com, one team pursuing the free agent linebacker is convinced he'll be returning to New England.

The Patriots opted against franchising Hightower, who saw his rookie contract expire after the 2016 season, but the 26-year-old and Bill Belichick reportedly had a “positive conversation” last week.
