After news broke Monday nightthat the Jets plan to lop some high-salaried veterans in a salary purge, I wondered if the Patriots had similar plans.Nick Kaczur's already been mentioned as a guy the Patriots are targeting to either have take a pay cut or hit the bricks. What about Ty Warren? The veteran defensive end is down to make 3.1 million in 2011 and will havea cap hit close to 6 million (hat tip, Miguel).Warren, who's down in Texasworking on coming back from season-ending hip surgery last August, told me Tuesday morning he's heard nothing from the Patriots in terms of taking a pay cut. He doesn't think he'd be inclined to take one, either. Tully Banta-Cain (2.3 million salary in 2011) and James Sanders (2.8 million) are the only other players I see as possibilities for pay cut requests.
