Patriots-Jets injury report: Brady sits out practice with knee injury

Share

FOXBORO -- For the first time since Tom Brady returned from his four-game suspension, he missed Patriots practice on Wednesday. According to the team, he is dealing with a knee injury that kept him off the field.

Brady took a hard shot to the area above his right knee in a Week 10 loss to the Seahawks, and he was seen using a heating pad on the area on the sidelines after absorbing the blow. He did not appear on the injury report last week, however, and was a full participant in practices. He then played against the 49ers in Santa Clara and threw for 280 yards and four touchdowns, earning the AFC's Offensive Player of the Week award.

The NFL Network's Ian Rapoport says it isn't believed the injury will keep him out of Sunday's game:

Brady was wearing a black sleeve on his leg as he prepared for the team flight back to New England following Sunday's win.

Rob Gronkowski was limited in Wednesday's practice in full pads with a chest injury. Matthew Slater did not participate due to a foot injury he suffered against the Niners.
