Ben Affleck's not the only one willing to show his support for the Patriots this week.
One young fan went right up to Ravens receiver Steve Smith Sr. during a football camp on Tuesday and shouted, "Go Patriots!" immediately after Smith led a pro-Ravens cheer.
Smith, known for his tenacious playing style and penchant for trash talk, was left a bit tongue-tied. He joked on Twitter that he had to catch himself before going off on the camper.
I had to catch myself 🤔😉 !! Well worth it. He was a great kid made me laugh all day https://t.co/qLQIZXV7pK— Steve Smith Sr (@89SteveSmith) June 22, 2016
The young Patriots fan's bravery continued to make the rounds on social media Thursday, and it got a reaction from Patriots receiver Julian Edelman.
lol that's a bold man to talk to like that. Smitty had to hold back lol. Nothing but respect for smitty and the young buck!— Julian Edelman (@Edelman11) June 23, 2016
The back-and-forth went down at Smith's free football camp for children of military families at Fort Meade in Maryland on Tuesday. The Ravens posted a longer video from the day on the team's website.
"[We're] given an opportunity to just invest in them," Smith said of the families involved. "They do so much for our country, so much for our freedom. They serve us so it's our opportunity to serve them."
