PGA's Sergio Garcia works out with Revolution

Sergio Garcia is in New England this weekend to play in the Deutsche Bank Championship at TPC Boston in Norton, MA.

The tournament, which kicks off Thursday and ends Sunday, takes place not too far away from Foxboro, MA -- home of the New England Revolution.

That meant that Garcia, from Spain, could take in a little soccer action with the Revs, and took full advantage of the opportunity Wedneday afternoon. Garcia practiced with the Revs, and appeared to have some skills and solid footwork in the process.

His success on the golf course this year, however, hasn't been so great. His best 2011 finish was during the U.S. Open when he finished tied for 7th. Still, that finish earned him 228,416 -- not too shabby for a weekend of golf.

On the year, Garcia has earned 1,315,691 and 832 FedEx Cup Points -- good for 53rd place.

Garcia tees off Thursday at 11:52 am on Tee 1.
