Revs' Ralston set to retire

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- New England Revolution midfielder Steve Ralston plans to announce his retirement from soccer Tuesday.TheRevolution said Monday that Ralston is expected to play his final matchTuesday against Mexico's Monarcas Morelia in the SuperLiga, thenannounce his retirement.Ralston, 36, is Major League Soccer'scareer leader in games, starts, minutes and assists, and he had fourgoals in 36 appearances for the United States.He spent eightseasons with the Revolution, then signed with his hometown team,second-division AC St. Louis, in January.
