Revs return to action against Red Bulls

FOXBORO -- After two big wins to end the month of March, the New England Revolution dropped two straight games, thanks to late goals against at the hands of FC Dallas on April 5, and D.C. United on April 14.

The Revs had a bye weekend last weekend, and haven't played since that April 14 loss to D.C. United. They'll get back to work on Saturday afternoon in a nationally-televised showdown in New York against the Red Bulls.

New England enters the match as the eighth-place team (out of 10) in the Eastern Conference with a 2-4-0 record, while New York stands in third place in the East with a 3-3-1 record.

After losing their first two games of the regular season, the Red Bulls went on to rattle off three straight wins, but enter Saturday's match coming off a tie and a loss.

If the Revs can get back in the win column on Saturday, they'll be just one point behind the Red Bulls in the standings.

New England will have to do that without Flo Lechner, Sainey Nyassi, Jeremiah White, and Zak Boggs, who have all been ruled out with injures. Ryan Guy and Blake Brettschneider are listed as questionable on the Revolution's injury report.

On a positive note for New England, captain Shalrie Joseph is eligible to return from his suspension.
