Paille set for surgery to repair broken nose, lacerations

As suspected by several of his teammates after Monday nights win over the Islanders, Daniel Paille was diagnosed with a broken nose and facial lacerations after the fourth line winger caught a Steve Staios slap shot to the face in the third period.

The bulk of the damage came from the puck hitting Pailles protective visor and then cutting up the forwards face and nosea situation that led to gruesome pools of blood on the ice. Paille will undergo surgery on Wednesday at Mass General Hospital with Dr. Thomas Dodson set to conduct the procedure.

Paille will be considered day-to-day following the surgery, but Bs President Cam Neely indicated to the Felger and Mazz Show on 98.5 The Sports Hub that the energy winger is a question mark for Thursday nights game against the Edmonton Oilers.
