A Brady endorsement of Patriots picking Lamar Jackson?

Did a potential future Patriot quarterback get an endorsement from Tom Brady?

A day after it was reported that the Patriots are the NFL team that has shown the most interest in Louisville QB Lamar Jackson, TB12 called Jackson "a beast" in an NFL Network Instagram post of Jackson.

The post was a photo illustration of Jackson and Bill Belichick that included draft analyst Bucky Brooks theorizing what Belichick's assessment of the 2016 Heisman winner would be.

Jackson appeared flattered by Brady's comment, tweeting about how he'd been recognized by the GOAT.

The Patriots have picks No. 23 and 31 in the first round. Could one of those be spent on Jackson as he's groomed to become the heir to Brady?

Here's Mike Giardi's profile of the Louisville QB from our "Next Heir Up" series, which includes this assessment:

A more dynamic and electrifying player you will not find in the Class of 2018. Jackson took the country by storm as a sophomore, winning the Heisman Trophy. He threw for 35-hundred yards and ran for nearly 1,600 more. He was responsible for 51 touchdowns. 51!

On a recent Quick Slants The Podcast, Dane Brugler from NFLDraftScout.com talked with Tom E. Curran and Phil Perry about several potential draftees, including Jackson. Listen below.
