FOXBORO — It appears Danny Amendola will play through a knee injury Sunday against the Chargers.
The 31-year-old receiver, who was in and out of practice this week after suffering the injury last week, said that he will play Sunday, the team’s last game before a Week 9 bye.

“Good to go,” Amendola said.
The Boston Herald’s Jeff Howe reported that Amendola’s injury, a hyperextended knee, was suffered on a punt return. It’s his fourth injury suffered on a punt return since late in the 2015 season, but Amendola said Friday he doesn’t believe he’s at any higher risk of injury on punt returns than he would be on any other player.
“It’s the same,” Amendola said. “It’s football … it’s a high-impact situation.”
