Patriots linebacker Dont'a Hightower's shoulder injury will keep him from playing Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers and he could be out beyond that, Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald reported.

Hightower was injured late in the victory over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday night. He attempted to wrap up Devonta Freeman and Hightower's right arm was wrenched back. He remained on the turf for a moment. Hightower tried to play through his ailment, but after one snap, he came out of the game.
