Will the Patriots search for a backup QB to replace Jimmy Garoppolo end with Lamar Jackson from Louisville in two weeks at the draft?
According to Mike Freeman of Bleacher Report, the Pats are the team showing the most interest in Jackson, who won the Heisman Trophy as a sophomore in 2016. New England director of player personnel Nick Caserio saw Jackson at Louisville's pro day.
Additionally, Caserio attended big-armed Western Kentucky QB Mike White's workout, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.
The Patriots have picks No. 23 and 31 in the first round. Could one of those be spent on Jackson as he's groomed to become the heir to Tom Brady?
