As the Patriots continue to lose players in the opening hours of free agency, comes word that they're a finalist to add a linebacker.

According to an ESPN report, the Pats are among three teams in the running for outside linebacker Trent Murphy. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are one of the other teams in on Murphy, 27, a 2014 second-round pick of the Redskins out of Stanford who missed all of last season with a torn ACL after he was suspended for four games last spring for PEDs.

He had nine sacks in the last season he was on the field in 2016 for Washington.
