Sony Michel gives delightfully innocent recap of Patriots' Super Bowl party

We don't hear from Sony Michel too often. But when you score the only touchdown in a Super Bowl victory, you're obliged to make the rounds.

The New England Patriots' rookie running back did just that Monday night, appearing on ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" the night after his team's Super Bowl LIII victory over the Los Angeles Rams.

Michel was quite the delight, playfully showing off his brand new "grill" and joking about his fanny pack. But the 23-year-old showed his age while discussing the Patriots' Super Bowl after party.

"Snoop Dogg, Meek Mill (one of my favorites), Ludacris -- they had that thing rocking," Michel said of the party, which went down Sunday night at the Patriots' team hotel in Atlanta. "I was like, 'My parents (are) in here.' "

Yes, Michel's parents came with him to the party. Both didn't last the night, though.

"My mom, she was the party pooper, so she kind of got tired," Michel said. "So, my dad had to take her back to the hotel. My dad wanted to get lit. So, it didn't work out for both of them."

The best part of Michel's breakdown? He didn't even have the nerve to mingle with his own quarterback, Tom Brady.

"It was more people than I thought. He kind of had his own VIP area at the top," Michel said of Brady. "So, I kind of felt like a fan. Everybody had their phones out (taking pictures or videos of Brady), so I just pulled my phone out, even though I just got off the field with him."

We don't blame you, Sony.

The Georgia product shattered a rookie record with six rushing touchdowns in three games this postseason, so don't be fooled by the naivete: Michel definitely belongs on the big stage.
