Tom Brady (calf) removed from Patriots injury report Thursday

Tom Brady has been on and off the Patriots injury report with a calf ailment over the last week, and on Thursday the pendulum swung again.

Brady was removed from the injury report and was a full participant in Thursday's workout in Foxboro, just a day after being limited in practice — though he didn't seem too worried about the calf issue when meeting with the media Wednesday afternoon.

“Football is a contact sport. I wouldn’t say I’m a spring chicken anymore," Brady said. "I’m trying to just feel as great as I can and we’ll see how it goes tomorrow. But I feel pretty good.”

While Brady wasn't listed, the man who protected his blind side last week took a turn for the worse. Marshall Newhouse, who was limited in Wednesday's session, did not practice due to illness. That's something to monitor going forward, as the team could have to change things up at left tackle again, with Isaiah Wynn landing on injured reserve earlier this season.

Michael Bennett, Rex Burkhead, Julian Edelman and Dont'a Hightower were among seven players who remained limited on Thursday, while Joe Thuney (shoulder) was upgraded to a full participant.
